Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring above a crowded California beach abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Videos uploaded on social media show the aircraft commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were taken to hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the street were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
